The Container Gardening Zone

Grow herbs, vegetables, and flowers on your patio or even inside your home.  No matter where you live, there is always room to grow.

Container Gardening-- Making Your Patio a Paradise.

Container gardening is a great way to grow your favorite plants.  Herbs, vegetables, and flowers can all be grown in containers with the right materials and a little know-how.

In addition to traditional "houseplants" like philodendrons and potted cacti, indoor container gardeners can enjoy fresh herbs year around and have flowers blooming in the winter.  With the right equipment, it is even possible to grow veggies indoors.

For gardeners with limited outdoor space, containers provide a means to make a balcony or patio into a real garden, complete with peas, beans, and tomatoes as well as herbs and flowers.

This zone is a collection of articles and resources to help you start and maintain a beautiful, productive container garden.  Whether you are a novice gardener or a veteran grower looking for new ideas, this is the place to go for inspiration.

Finding Seeds for Container Gardening

Starting plants from seed is both cost effective and satisfying.  However, not all of the plants you can grow from seed are ideal for container gardening.  Luckily, the website ContainerSeeds.com has a selection of seeds especially chosen for container gardeners.  Choose from fruits, herbs, vegetables, edible flowers, and more.  The site also has a nice selection of articles to read as well as recipes and gardening tips.

Fantastic! What a great page, Theresa. I'll bet if I follow all the advice you offer here, even I could be a green thumb gardener. Well done!
